Use your power drill, to clean drains faster than a high pressure jetting machine or a rooting machine.

COMPACT WATERLESS

Milling Equipment Kit For Sewer and Drains

If your drill has a Slip Clutch (Torque Control), and variable speed, you can connect our drill shank adaptor to your drill chuck, and connect a flexible shaft to the connector.

Simply mount one of our adjustable drain cleaning chains to the end of the flexible shaft, and you can obliterate stoppages like roots, lime scale, tuberculation and even solid cement at the rate of 1 meter in 30 seconds.

Some chains are made for descaling pipes, whilst others are made for grinding and cutting. We even have chains that are designed to clean scale from PVC pipes or pipes which have been damaged.

The chains are made from Stainless steel for low radial backlash , and the teeth are made from carbide bits, to prevent oxidization.

Our shafts come in sizes ranging from 6mm (1/4") , 8mm (5/16"),10mm (3/8") or 12mm (1/2″) flexible shaft to the adapter using set screws.

Benefits of a flexible shaft over other drain cleaning tools

We are not saying that you should replace your jetting machine, and only use a flex shaft. A jetting machine can clear roots, cement, tuberculation and limescale, but if you have a flexible shaft available when you have stubborn blockages, you will save hours of time, and water.

  1. The flex shaft can remove tuberculation, lime scale, urine scale, and even cement within seconds, as opposed to the time it would take to do the same task with a jetting machine or rooter.
  2. In areas where water is a scarce resource, the flex shaft is the perfect tool for removing blockages, because it does not need water to perform.
  3. The equipment is compact, so it can easily fit in a car boot, or be taken in an elevator to work on pipes in high-rise buildings.
  4. Since the shaft is contained in a housing, you could use a drain inspection camera simultaneously to see your progress in real time.
  5. The best part is that the shafts require very little maintenance, and unlike a rooter, the flex shaft is not affected by vibration.
  6. Compared to a rooter, the fact that the flex shaft is housed in a protective sleeve, is of great benefit from a safety perspective, as you would not need thick uncomfortable gloves to protect your hands from the spring cable.
  7. Another benefit of a flex shaft over a rooter tool is that most of the energy provided to the rooter spring shaft is stored within the coil, whilst the same torque put into the flex shaft on the drill end is passed through the flex shaft, so you need less power to achieve the same result.
  8. Lastly, the flex shaft drain cleaning chains clear the entire inner circumference of the pipe, whereas the rooting cable does not have this capability. This will prevent callbacks when the line is not properly cleared.

How many call outs will it take before this plumbing equipment has paid for itself?

If you consider the time this equipment will save when clearing lime scale or tuberculation, you will probably agree that this tool is a very good investment.
